The keyboard connector is very close to the battery. Open the flap carefully on the keyboard connector and slide out the flex cable - then slide it back in and try to push it deep in the connector and close the flap again....

When I came back to it after a few hours, I noticed that it stopped charging, the laptop was around 60%. I tried re-connecting the MagSafe from the Thunderbolt Display and powered it off for a few minutes, but it didn’t help - it seems that it won’t charge any MacBooks anymore… The display functions normally otherwise, even though it makes a clicky noise when the brightness is at the maximum....

I did everything as said but after changing the battery my iPhone can’t be switched on again (without connecting the power). I assume something with the battery or battery connection is wrong. I had wet hands and clicked on the key board and then about 5 mins later it completely shut down and won’t turn on but it makes the turning on noise. I sent it in to apple and they said that it was water damage and they said its not worth replacing because the cost of repair is more than the laptop itself, the quoted me 1550 euros to repair ( apparently it need a new display, electrics and a new motherboard) I need a laptop for my studies but as I don’t know much about computers I was wondering if its true that I need all of that or if they’re trying to upcharge me....
