Chosen Solution
I completed installation and the new battery functioned properly, so I let it drain until dead, recharged to 100% overnight, and today the battery indicator says “No battery available.” I’ve tried SMC reset and NVRAM reset and the error remains. I also did the hardware test (holding ‘D’ when booting) and it came back clean. It shuts down when I remove the power cable so I can’t drain it, and when I boot up it momentarily shows a 100% charge. Anyone encounter this and have a fix? Edit: Here’s the coconutBattery screenshot:
