So I have this MP3 player from this obscure company and I’ve had for a couple of years, now when I try to boot it up, nothing, not that I would be able to do anything since the D-Pad on it’s broken (Meaning that the D-Pad is literally pushed up too far) so I need help!

Hi @ifixitm4s3r, Here’s a video that shows how to open the player. (Start at about 25:40 minutes into the video). This will help you to check the D Pad to see if it can be repaired or not. Also you didn’t say whether it still charged OK or not when the power was connected. If not check that the charge port is OK and if so then perhaps the battery may have to be replaced as it may be depleted beyond recovery if it hasn’t been charged for a long time. Looking at the video the battery is a LiPo 3.7V 403040 (28:39 minutes in) but it doesn’t show the capacity of the battery i.e. mAH. The 403040 indicates the battery dimensions i.e. 4.0mm H x 30mm W x 40mm L. A quick search online gives these results. The maximum capacity seems to be about 500mAH. Hopefully this is of some help.
