Im trying to enter in safe mode, unfortunately i can’t. After holding power button it doesn’t beep as it suppose to be (one beep, another one beep and then two beep). It just turn on and ,the first beep (im still keep holding power button) but only turns off after almost 40seconds. I did it again and the same thing happened… hold power button beep once and then turns off, also i did it a few more times but no beeps just the first one that sounds when you turn on your console. Any help? :/ I forgot to say the ps3 works through Component/AV Cable, the hdmi is broken, after a storm just never work again. Can this be the problem? If i repair the hdmi will the safe mode work? More info: When i hold power button it beeps one, then beeps twice (in tv i can see 480i ) then turns off, the second time i hold power button it just doesn’t beep i can hold the button probably 40sec and finally just turn off, if i try again it repeats (one beep, two beep and 480i in tv, then turns off) and thats all, like a loop.
Hi! First things first: When the red light is burning, press the power button and hold it. It will beep and turn on, keep your finger on the power button all way long, then it beeps again (video reset), still hold the power button, it will beep and it will turn off. When the red light is burning again take your finger from the power button. Then press the button again, hold your finger on it, it will beep and turn on again, still hold your finger on the button, it will beep again (video reset), still hold the power button, now it will beep twice, release power button and you should enter the safe mode! Why do you want to enter safe mode? Due an error code or something? Anyway, you could also swap the harddrive and see if you can enter safe mode then. This should not be related to your broken HDMI port.
