While attempting to maintenance my brothers switch I ended up stripping a screw on the backplate. Is there ANY way that I can remove it without damaging the backplate? I used an iFixit kit but the console is refurbished so I guess they tightened the crews too much. Any working methods besides rubber band or superglue will help.
How bad is it? In my experience, I’ve been able to get away with using a slightly larger bit and applying lots of pressure to remove mildly stripped screws. It may be too rounded out for that to work, however. Is it a tri wing security screw or a regular Philips?
