Disc is inserted in the drive; it reads but keeps ejecting and inserting by itself, non-stop?
Hi @fixthejunks , Does the relative live in the same location as you? Not being nosey but according to this link the player will reject the disc (although not reinsert it again) if the disc is not from the same “region” as the player. Just a thought on this one and an easy one to eliminate if it is the case. Also here’s a link to the service manual for the player. Be patient as it takes a little while to find the file. Once you have the manual go to p.47 to see how to view the Mechanism Controller Error codes and what they mean. This should be a good start as to find out what may be wrong. Also the manual details how to dis-assemble the unit and has a parts list etc which may help as well. Good luck with the repair
