When I get calls I answer and neither of us can hear each other yet I call them back and it’s crystal clear both sides.
This “sounds” like a software issue (See what I did there? :)) The best option would be to try restoring your phone and updating to the latest version of iOS. If it doesn’t work after that, then it may be that Apple hasn’t fixed that bug yet.
