Can Not Block The Battery Connector As Stated Ipad Air Wi Fi

Hi. I am currently in the middle of repairing an iPad Air. I have go to the battery section where i have been informed to insert a battery blocker, but my iFixIt toolkit did not come with one. What should i do? I am afraid to continue on incase i short out the battery. Thanks
