I’m new to this forum, but it seems like the best place for help. I have been repairing iPhones for a few years now, and other than the occasional bad screen, I haven’t had any major issues, until now. I have replaced dozens of iPhone 7 Plus screens without a glitch, but the last 2 phones I have repaired, the home button will not function after the screen swap. I have went back through and checked connections and looked for any damage and all was good. Tried a different screen with the same results. The button works on the original screen, but not the replacement. I’m at a loss, any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe check how tightly you’re screwing in the center screw directly on the home button? Sometimes if that’s too tightly screwed in the home button will malfunction.
