Last week, I was having trouble getting my iPhone to charge via the lightning port. I tried several different charging cords and cleaned out the port. No help. I shortly remembered that I could charge the phone wirelessly and went on to charge the phone successfully and used the phone throughout the week. Last night I could no longer get my phone to charge wirelessly. Now, I can not even get the dead battery indicator to pop up.
Does anyone know what the issue might be as to why I can no longer charge my iPhone via lighting port or wireless?
No water damage.
Thanks in advance for any help here!
It sounds like tristar ic is probably bad. It’s what controls charging and data transfer. It can be caused by using an aftermarket charging cable that isn’t MFI Certified. The cheap cables can cause voltage spikes and damage the tristar ic chip.
Thanks, Do you happen to know a good site to buy the replacement Tristar Chip?
