My kindle Fire came with a 5 watt power adapter. I bought a kindle reader and it came with a 9 watt adapter. Can I use the 9 watt to charge the Fire?

Yes you can use the 9 watt adapter with your kindle fire. It will not damage it because the fire has a regulator in it and will limit the current going through it.
