My existing MBP Mid 2010’s bluetooth connectivity is the worst and has a range of 3 feet before disconnecting. I’d like to know if it’s possible to upgrade it’s current 2.1+EDR to 4.0 Does anyone know if this is possible and where to find a reliable part.
It’s not likely that you can upgrade to BT 4.0 … on most Macs, the BT is on the same ‘card’ as the WiFi & is specific to the Mac model. The best you could do is check to make sure that the connectors to the WiFi card are properly seated and not damaged.
