Chosen Solution
I recently recieved an old ThinkPad T60 with a Core Duo T2400 CPU in it and 2GB or RAM. Is it possible to upgrade the CPU to a newer one, for example a Core 2 Duo, and would it be worth the time and money? Also, would it be possible to upgrade the RAM past 3GB if it had a 64-bit CPU or would that still not be possible?

Arie Copley-Radder “would it be worth the time and money” I do not think so. Remember that in order to actually notice a CPU upgrade you will have to run programs that are CPU extensive (large CAD/CAM drawings etc. come to mind) otherwise you may safe a few microseconds during everyday-tasks. I’d go with some more memory and maybe an SSD but would leave it at that.
