I own an Early 2013 A1398 I7 2.8GHz/16GB with SSD and my CPU’s are overheating and I hear this is a typical thing, so I’d rather purchase the upgrade to a Mid 2015 and buy a replacement bottom case EMC 2910 and throw my existing EMC 2673 case away. Can I do this? Will my existing upper case, display, fans, speakers work with the Mid-2015 upgrade?
Unfortunately, no. The ports on the logic board are different and your Mac’s components will not fit into the connectors on the board, therefore preventing a swap.
