My mother in law - who has dementia - gave my child her iPad however she is unable to remember her Apple iCode or the associated email address. Neither can she find the original receipt because, dementia. Apple won’t help because we have no proof of purchase so the iPad remains a useless device sitting in the bottom drawer unless we can somehow bypass Apple and get it up and running as a “new” device. Thoughts please?
Yeah, it is most certainly possible to “unlock” the tablet if you get a new logic board. You can usually find them on eBay for varying prices. When buying the new logic board though, be sure that it is not iCloud locked and that it is suitable for your model of iPad.
