Chosen Solution
I have a iphone 6 plus with water damage. After running it through the ultra sonic cleaner I put power to it and it doesn’t draw any power. Found short on C1203 and C1227. Last phone I had with this issue (these caps sorted) turned out to be a problem with the cpu, only difference was cpu would get warm and draw was .5a. Only after removing that did the short clear. Can I expect another bad cpu or is there a way to check it without removing it? Would replacing pm ic or u2 be a worth a try or just a waste of time.
Replace the components and see what happens. It probably will fire up, but if it doesn’t, check for more shorts. If it still doesn’t work run it thru the cleaner again.
