Can I Take The Optical Disc Drive And Hook It Up To My Pc Samsung Bd F7500 Blu Ray Player

Could I take the disc drive out of the blue ray player and hook it up to my custom build pc? I want to do this since I already have a blueray player build in to the xbox one. and I want to watch blueray discs on my pc. I have a 2010 samsung BP model

If you have an HDMI input port and the software to read that input, it could work.
