Hello. My iPhone was not accepting my passcode after it died and restarted and now I have been locked out. I downloaded most of my photos from iCloud on to my computer but there is a chunk that hasn’t been backed up. Since I’m getting a new phone anyway, could I take out the NAND memory from the phone to gain access to the pictures? What kind of adapter would I need to connect the NAND Flash Memory to so that I could download the photos to my computer? Thank you very much.

This is not possible. The data on the NAND is encrypted which is serialized with the CPU and logic eeprom. Even if you put your NAND in another iPhone 8 it would not work. There might be a really slim chance if you use a program called 3uTools and select restore while retaining user’s data. It should bring up the password screen again where you could have one more chance at entering the correct password but most of the time it fails.
