Can I use the cpu of A1586 model in an iphone with A1549 model? the A1549 cpu keeps overheating. Both have 64gb storage.
You can’t replace the discreet APU A8 chip. But you could replace the logic board it’s mounted on. Often an overheating board is liquid damage where corrosion is creating a pathway for current to flow. Changing to a different radio based board can create new problems as the antennas within the case shell may not offer the needed attenuation to work properly.
