I have an IPhone 7 plus. The screen and housing is smashed and cracked beyond repair. I have photos of my family and other info on that device that has not been backed up and I need to recover it. My thoughts and plan would be to disassemble the broken iPhone completely, and swap the internals to another iPhone 7 plus… for example; I may buy an iPhone 7 plus that I found on Ebay for a cheap price, the iPhone from EBay is “locked”/“bad ESN”… So the question is, will swapping the internals from my smashed phone into the “bad ESN” IPhone from eBay create a working IPhone 7 plus? assuming that all is swapped correctly without damaging any parts… If not, will that idea work with a good working iPhone 7? Essentially I just want to swap my “hard drive” in to a new iPhone 7 plus
Yeah, swapping the board (assuming it was not damaged due to broken phone), will basically give you a new phone! :-) Beware the water resistant seal will not be back, once you open the phone, but you will most likely get a working one!
