One day I left my hr in the car on a hot day in Arizona, I took it off because I was going to go swimming. When I came back to get it, the wrist band started to bubble off the actual device. Later the next week I was getting out of the car and my fitbit hit the door and totally fell apart. Now the actual mechanics of the fitbit was out. The next day I had my dad try and fix it (he does engineering) but all he did was stick some strong waterproofing glue all on it that stuck the pieces together but my dad on the drive to me had it in a place under the sun and it started to bubble again. So here is my question, is there a way to replace the whole wrist band of the fitbit?

Gia, Unfortunately no, there is no possible way to replace the band on a FitBit Charge HR. I would have suggested contacting FitBit directly as soon as the problem occurred. I was very impressed with their customer service when they replaced mine free of charge a year out of warranty when mine died suddenly. Since your dad has tampered with the product, however, I don’t believe FitBit will do much. Here is the link to FitBit’s contact page- http://help.fitbit.com/?cu=1 Hope this helps!

There are now replacement bands available on eBay. I repaired mine myself and so far so good. Here is the link: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/182409259191?s

fitbit charge 2 band You information is very useful and helpful for all. I am glad to visit here and got an interesting information. I am impressed to read this information. Thanks for sharing this information.

I consult with Fitbit first. They suggested warranty only covers 1 year on the purchase date. (which it broke the 3rd day after warranty ran out). They indicated it’s impossible to change, so they offer me to purchase HR Altas or HR 2 for 25% discount. Later…. ebay showed up the replacement bands for $30….. One way or the other, it’s just says Fitbit is very bad at their customer services. Their ultimate goal is for customers to keep upgrading.

Another option is to get this: goo.gl/9JC5dI and add a watch strap of your choosing.

I recently bought a replacement band from ebay and it worked great! Took less than 5 minutes to replace.

Okay, so my wife found and purchased a replacement band for her Fitbit. Of course she wants ME to figure out how to put the works into a new band. Which is not working…the small screwdrivers they include with the new band do not remove any screws–they just strip the threads. The box containing the new band had a legend on it which reads: “Please visit this website about product installation, Thanks! www.etoper.com/hr.mp4" The video at this site is in a foreign language, and does nothing to help me understand how to replace the band. I knew I was in trouble when the ‘instructions’ on the back of the box read like a bad Chinese menu, with misspellings and grammar errors throughout. Sorry, it’s a waste of time so far… Bob K.
