The iPhone 12 mini is perfect size to me - no other phone manufacturers in the world make a phone of same size as far as I am aware of. However, it use OLED display which suffer from PWM problem which is not acceptable to me. Can I change the screen for a third party LCD part to remove the problem?
Do not put an LCD on a phone designed for OLED. It can damage the actual connectors on the board and will impact battery life. OLED technology has improved as well. Just wait and see what happens.
Surely you can find some lcd display from China market but you can encounter lot of problems after the change. The first is that iPhone boot up with a message that screen is not genuine. The second is that you’ll lose perfect compatibility and True Tone. Then you can find more related issue caused by lower quality of screen (bad colors/contrast, lower brightness and more battery usage). I hope this can be useful :) have a nice day
