I have replaced my charging port assembly but in the process I damaged the “tangs” to the logic board where the charge port attaches. I bent some of the connections Now the connections are not correct and am having problems with the screen.
To answer your question you can replace the board, its basically buy a new phone. If you damaged the prongs on the replacement part, buy another. If you damaged the prongs on the board itself you can attempt to fix it but it would be extremely hard.
