Hi, I bought an IPhone 6s off music magpie about 7 months ago. It has always worked fine, but yesterday the phone died (while charging). I plugged it back in an it seemed to be charging, but it the morning it was completely dead, and it now won’t charge at all. Music magpie will have a look at the phone, but as part of standard practice they perform a factory reset. I have photos and notes on the phone I really don’t want to lose that aren’t backed up (stupid I know!), as my icloud filled up a couple months ago and I couldn’t get them off the phone
yes you can replace the battery and keep the data, music magpie will probably do that because of data protection. it may not be a battery issue and could be the charging chip, if you can get a battery with power already on it and backup your data then if it needs the charging chip replaced you will still have your data either way
