You can buy a 5er homebutteon looks like 5s it works for sure. I will have not the fingerprint feature but looks like 5s. Have fun.

it doesn’t work because you would have to add different software to the phone. I have a 5c and i just bought a fake touch id home button. I hope this helps!
software and hardware as well. The iphone 5 and 5c have a really simple way of connecting to the home button, with two electrical; contacts. when you push the button it completes a circuit. I have “hit” the home button many times by bridging the gap between the contacts many times with a metal object in order to go home while testing a disassembled phone. And anyway the iphone 5s has a complex data cable for its home button.
