Anybody know where to get a display cable? Water damaged cable, I can see the burnt and charred pin on the display cable. Anybody know where to get just the cable? Or … Any other tricks for this situation? Cause I can already promise the customer won’t wanna pay the $200 for a laptop that’s worth way more than that @oldturkey03 @mayer @refectio EDIT: MacBook Pro 13 in unibody. The computer will come on, but display won’t. Found it has water damage, one of the gold pins, for the LCD has been fried. Unless ya’ll know how to regold these things EDIT #2: And my boy Zimienskie comes through like a champ! @cvneutron told you uncle! @mayer I didn’t need to reword it. Probably did need sleep. I’m buying those ginseng shots in bulk MacBook Pro 13" Unibody (Mid 2009-Mid 2010) Display Assembly

iFixit is out of stock of Unibody MacBook Pro 13" LVDS cables at the moment, but PowerBookMedic currently has several different variations. Best to confirm the generation of computer you’re dealing with first, since the cable lengths and connectors may vary.

I had a very similar problem and I just got a new MacBook A1278 LVDS cable on eBay. It didn’t solve my issue but I hope it solves yours! I think mine ended up frying the cable port on the Logic Board and I haven’t gotten around to replacing that yet.
