Goo Gone gone wild. Replaced the battery in my iPhone 7. While cleaning the case adhesive, some ‘Goo Gone’ and isopropyl alcohol accidentally dripped into the edge of the display. The phone and display work fine, except for the ugly stains now on the backlight/LCD. Is it possible to disassemble the display to clean this (with presumably more alcohol and lint free lens tissues), or will I just make things worse? From what I’ve read all of display layers are bonded and can’t be easily separated.

@jsteed this “Goo Gone’ and isopropyl alcohol accidentally “ may just permanently stain your display. For now, use it and see how much of it will evaporate in time. After that the best thing would be to have a fused assembly and it’s not easy to separate it.
