I got a used phone from a coworker and the phone is bent in the corner and now the wifi doesn’t work on the phone at all, i can’t even log out of their icloud account because it won’t connect to any wifi. does anyone know what i could do?
You’ll need to bend the corner back or replace the entire back housing (the entire aluminum back). From the sounds of it, your wifi antenna is damaged. wifi antenna found here: iPhone 7 Top Left Antenna video of wifi antenna replacement can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YHTddCIv… Please note that you need remove the battery once you open the phone before anything else. How bad is the bend? Only reason I ask, is the back housing replacement requires everything inside the phone to be moved over to the new housing. It’s a pretty hefty process, but if it’s not too bad, you may be able to bend it back and have it be just fine. You’ll also need to make sure that bending it back wont put any strain on the motherboard or battery, so pictures of the phones current condition will help me understand the best approach for this issue.
Most likely the wifi antenna is broken. And the housing will need to be replaced
