Hi all — I’ve got 4 dead USB ports on my 2019 13” MacBook Pro (A1989); ordered 2 replacement boards from ifixit, but cannot find any videos here or anywhere online that show the replacement process. Anyone ever done this? I’m really in a bind because this is my work machine (self-employed) and my older 2012 MBP won’t run any of the newer software I use. I’d be deeply grateful for any and all advice…thanks in advance. Part in question: (MacBook Pro (A1989, A1990, A2141, A2159, A2251, A2289, A2338 Mid 2018-2022) USB-C Board)

I can see loosing one to two ports, loosing all four is telling me you have a bigger issue within the logic board its self. But to answer your question we don’t have much for guides in the newer MacBook Pro series. To replace the Port assembly you need to first take the logic board out so you have room to access the port screws and room to slide the assembly out.
