Hi, I have a PowerSpec 1710 and I damaged some smd’s while trying to repaste the cpu and gpu. I was able to look up find a schematic for the laptop but I can’t figure out how to read it. I know that the parts that I burned up are near something labelled PQ20. I think they are smd capacitors but I don’t know what capacitance I should get and where to buy the parts. Any help would be appreciated. Schematic.pdf This is what it currently looks like.
These are the smd chips I am trying to find.
@jirotokio that is where the difficulty of no board view comes in. The problem here (just like all the other motherboard makers) is that there are no reference designators on the board. All those components that are missing are capacitors. Looking at your schematics and checking the pinout of PQ20 I would replace those as listed on 2A on your schematic: PC105,108,104,107. The values of the caps as well as the size are listed on your schematic. Now we don;t know what your solder pads etc. look like so there may be more work for you ahead of it as well
