I recently took my iPhone in for screen repair because the screen got cracked at the top of the phone and I believed that crack was the reason my phone went through a lot of malfunction issues. Like my google maps GPS would always recalculate every 5 minutes or so. Sometimes when I make a wrong turn on the road, the gps won’t even reroute. Few days after my screen got repaired, I noticed malfunction issues again with the google maps app. I then noticed light coming out the edge of my screen. It’s like the screen was not clamped shut all the way.
The GPS module on the iPhone six sits near the top of the screen. More than likely, that was damaged with the screen crack, as you expressed concern with your GPS functionality.
