Here’s the thing. I macbook pro 15" unibody with a no wifi/bluetooth. I tried replacing the airport/bluetooth card. Then I tried replacing the airport/bluetooth ribbon cable. I tried reseting and more.. Until I finally see it. The socket where the ribbon cable from the airport/bluetooth is connected to the logic board is broken. Part of the plastic socket and a couple of the metal pins are missing so I imagine that in this case the connector is never going to .. well .. connect to the logic board. Right? The question is .. Is it fixable? or do I need to buy a logic board? Help. Thank you guys. P.S I have a pict but I didn’t find a way to add it.
As long as the solder pads are still there, then a new socket can be fitted. If not then it is still technically possible but involves either cutting into the tracks or wiring the pin to the correct point on the board.
