Can it be repaired? Does encryption cause this? What can I do?
encryption essentially locks a program to a cypher, and without that algorithm, a device cant read it. usually the algorythm is linked to a password, and thats the extent of it. Encryption should not cause this. I havent expressly encountered this issue, though as a Samsung Warranty Technician, my first step would be to factory reset it to remove any third party software that could potentially be causing this. then continue by testing to see if it is JUST the rear camera, or if the front facing camera does this as well. If only one camera does this, then replacing that camera likely fixes the issue. If both cameras do it, then you are likely looking at something more foul. board level replacements. without extensive soldering practice, you will need to do a full Logic Board replacement.
I solved my camera problem! In Gallery ‘‘Settings", I had checked the “SYNC via WI-FI only” box. Well that was just fine when I had Wi-Fi in the house but I had to cut Comcast internet months ago because it was way too expensive! By UN-checking it everything started syncing and returned to normal by using Verizon internet only… Hope this helps someone besides me! G e n o…………..!
