i have a 2016 13” MacBook Pro, my camera is not detected in system report: No video capture devices were found This started after upgrading to Catalina, otherwise it’s worked fine since, and it hasn’t moved very much, no rough treatment. i’ve run disk utility, and reset NVRAM or whatever it’s called these days. i ran diagnostics and it asked me to reinstall system software, but hung on the link. is there a driver i can try reinstalling?
I doubt you have a driver issue, more likely the cable to the lid failed. Apple had a fair amount of failures of the backlight cable 2018 MacBook Pros Try to Solve Flexgate Without Admitting It Exists while the cable here is not the same cable it is exactly the same mirrored on the other side (Blue marked)
Your the second person who encountered I know of that experienced this failure. Sadly its time for a new display assembly, Ouch!
Unfortunately 😕 My story ends by replacing the wire from motherboard to screen. I have the photo of my problem but can’t attach to this message
Problem was the broken wires from motherboard to the screen, my friend fixed it without screen replacement. Update (11/20/2022)
