Hello all, So after the recent Samsungs update, my camera functioned fine until a few days ago where I opened it to take a picture of something. The camera froze and I closed it through the multi task bar, and when i went to go open it again i now get a “WARNING; CAMERA FAILED" error everytime I open it. None of my other camera related apps work either now, such as snapchat as it tells me it can’t open the camera. I’ve tried clearing my cache, tried soft and hard reboots, and still nothing. Any ideas? Update (03/30/2020) No a factory restore is the last thing I want to do. I’ve tried the safe mode option to and the camera still fails to open.

Hi, By “hard reboots” do you mean a factory restore? If not try starting the phone in safe mode and see if the camera works. If it does then a downloaded app is the cause. The trick is to find out which one. If still no good try a hard reset (factory restore) Be sure to backup the phone first to the cloud or a PC otherwise you will lose all your data and downloaded apps. If it works then restore the phone with the backup and try again If still no good try reloading the firmware using ODIN - look online for how to do this. If still no good you have a hardware problem - maybe just coincidental to it happening after the update. Was the phone dropped?
