Chosen Solution
Recently, i broke the screen and had the LCD digitizer replaced by a local guy. Upon replacement, the screen itself did not sit completely flush and there was a small glimmer of light that you can see through the side of the digitizer; no biggie all seemed to be fine. however now the LED does not work (i open the flashlight app and nothing happens), Nor does the camera app work. When I open the camera app, the app dies and doesn’t open. When i try an app that would USE the camera, there is an error message saying “the camera is in use by another application”. So– I’m unsure if the camera or LED worked prior to replacing the screen. I honestly didn’t think to check. The screen was damaged pretty badly. Ideas.? I have called Huawei US and as this model (the p9) is an “International model” they (Huawei) will not help. Which is weird. but alas true. I know that this phone is not in the US yet, but it seems that if I can’t fix it, it is a big risk to buy another knowing that if I break the screen, im screwed.. any ideas..?
I have the same problem but after a battery replacement. The flashlight works however, but I had to activate it from the lock screen the first time (it was blacked out in the notification/quick settings)
