i have an iphone 8 plus. i swapped out the charging port and i have been issues with calls. those receiving my calls say they can’t hear me or it sounds like I am far away. I have looked at different forums and tried sliding the bar on the haptic sound bar. Turned off noise cancellation. The charging port and all other things work fine but this is the one thing left to make my repairs “perfect”. Any help or advice would help.

The charge port has two microphones that are used for outgoing calls one of them provides noise cancellation. You might have damaged one during the replacement. If you purchase another one make sure it is an OEM one pulled from an original iPhone 8 plus.

the microphone is usually taped and when you peel it off, the adhesive tape can stick to the frame, clogging the hole of the microphone (on the metal frame and not the part itself) when you put in a new microphone, then you have bad or no sound
