My TI-84 Plus calculator will not turn on. It is one year old, and seems like new, but won’t turn on. Any suggestions? I can’t find a reset button on it.
After trying all other suggestions Just fixed mine, one year old and little use, battery compartment was not making contact with circuit board, unscrewed it and bent the wires that extend from 1st and 4th battery to make contact with copper square and working now.. need T6 bit to unscrew..
You should probably refer to this guide. ;) As for the reset button, there is none on the regular TI 84 Plus. You need to remove one of the AAA batteries, then remove the backup battery. Hold [ON] for 10 seconds then reinsert the batteries. This should clear your RAM. You can also refer to this video Advanced Calculator Recovery, Diagnostics, and Prevention! Take out the AAA batteries.Hold the on button for 10-20 secondsPut the batteries back inPress the on button againThen it should come back on as “RAM CLEARED”.
