The ifixit instructions for assembly removal and replacement are fantastic. The speaker, however, on my new ear speaker and sensor assembly is extremely buzzy. I can understand almost nothing on voice calls.
I would check to see if the mesh grill that’s on the front your your screen near the top is clogged. I would clean this with some isopropyl alcohol and a small brush. Sometimes when it’s dirty the sound gets trapped in a small chamber and sounds muffled. This is a picture of a clean speaker mesh grill.
