Hi team, My MacBook Air was working fine. Suddenly, it turned its self off automatically even though power plug was still connected to power. I tried to tunrn it back on by pressing the power key but no response from machine. Then I realized some burnt smell is coming near (1"-1 1/2" away) from power plug in. I don’t know what is the problem. Please help me to resolve this issue. Thanks, Ritesh
@riteshsingla01 - When you say burnt smell coming from the power plug in do you mean the the house outlet or the MagSafe cable connection at the MacBook Air? If the it’s the outlet then you’ll need a new MagSafe power adapter to replace yours. Do be careful! As there are quite a few clones which can damage your system. Make sure it’s a real Apple MagSafe bought at an Apple Store to be safe. If on the other hand the connection on your MacBook Air was where the burnt smell was coming from, you may have a bad DC-In board. Review this Apple T/N: Apple Portables: Troubleshooting MagSafe adapters to make sure your power adapter, its cable & MagSafe connector on your system is in good shape.
