Dryer was working. Went to turn it on again and heard a noise and then nothing happened when I tried starting it. The electric control panel was lit but was not starting. Then I noticed an electrical burning smell. Any idea on what the issue could be?
If you’ve got an electrical burning smell I would unplug it. There’s a short or something is burned up inside and it requires service.
If the drum was running, I’d say to check the vent hose since that happened to me.
Since you are saying the drum is NOT turning, but you smell burning, it sounds like either electrical component burned out, or a component burned out like electrical wiring. Either way, agree to unplug it and call a service technician if it’s under warranty or you don’t feel comfortable/able to take it apart.
