Yesterday my iPad mini was together with a bottle of water in my bag which was not closed. The iPad got wet and now the speakers do not work, but if i put my headphones in the output i can listen to music (only on the headphones). Do somebody know how I can fix this problem? Thanks for your help and best regards, Dominik

doschaumburg, “The iPad got wet " to avoid any further damage, I suggest you no longer try to charge or turn your iPad on. this could cause further damage. What yo want to do is to clean your iPad’s logic board with 90%+ isopropyl alcohol. Use a small soft brush to clean all the connectors properly. You did not tell us exactly which Mini you have, so use the proper guide from here. Check the logic board for any damaged, missing or corroded components. Once it is properly cleaned, I would also replace the battery. These batteries do not tolerated water well and can fail later on because of water damage. After that, reassemble your iPad and re-evaluate. Water damage could cause your speakers to fail, but you could also have a damaged audio IC. Hope this helps, good luck.

Hi Dominik ! Mabe are your speakers dead. You may try and give your iPad a deoxidizer bath. If this doesnt work, you may replace the speakers. This part is not available on iFixit (for now) but unfortunately, things happen… Hoping to have helped you ! Vincent
