Hi, My 2015 Macbook pro screen does not display correctly- it shows coloured lines over the screen when you are trying to use it- at first i thought this was a screen issue however when i connect an external display, both the external and the built in screen works perfectly. Could there be an issue with the graphics card? I’ve never seen inside one of these so not sure what i would be looking at. Thanks.
There is no dedicated GPU chip unlike some of the 15” models 2015 13” MacBookPro} your systems series Vs the 15” models which offer both the intergraded graphics like yours 2015 15” MacBookPro (IG) and the discreet GPU models 2015 15” MacBookPro (DG) We had first thought the MUX logic within the logic board, but followups from those effected stated the internal display was the issue with this very odd symptom! Sadly iFixit has been out of stock for quite awhile MacBook Pro 13" Retina (Early 2015) Display Assembly, Apple P/N 661-02360 You’ll need to do a bit of hunting to find a replacement.
