Right now, I can get the external monitor, external usb keyboard and external usb mouse to function. Wifi works fine. The built-in keyboard, trackpad, screen and power button are all unresponsive. This prevents me from doing an SMC reset, but I understand that disconnecting the battery and holding the power button down resets the SMC. I have also zapped PRAM using the external keyboard. When I first got the computer, the magsafe connector board was dead. It looked like one of the feet had come off and possibly moisture had killed the magsafe connector board. I swapped it out with a working magsafe connector board and was able to boot by reconnecting the battery and connecting the magsafe connector. The system clock shows the wrong time warning. If the computer is running and I remove the magsafe connector, the computer goes to sleep. If I have shut down the computer and disconnected the battery, I can get it to reboot by connecting the charger and battery. Just connecting the battery doesn’t do anything. Only connecting the charger makes things go. The white power light in the front is steady when the computer is running, slowly blinking when asleep. Any advice?

A USB wired keyboard will work here. A Bluetooth connected one won’t. Don’t think that’s going to make a difference here… If the systems built-in clock is unable to hold the time the logic board has issues with the other symptoms.
