Hi, is there an alternative way to hold the headphone ribbon down to the logic board if you break the brown flap that holds the headphone ribbon in place?
Are you talking about the connector each as seen in step#6 of this guide? iPod 5th Generation (Video) Headphone Jack & Hold Switch Replacement UPDATE, that is a locking tab. Make sure it is inserted all the way and use a piece of Kapton tape on it to pull it into place and then stick it down.
