Chosen Solution
My printer was working fine yesterday. In the middle of printing several pages the ink started getting lighter and faded completely away over 3- 4 pages. I have update the software and replaced the black cartridge and the other colors are full. The little sponge is full of black ink and looks like it has leaked out. Any ideas if I can fix it or is it time for a new printer? Thanks
This mostly happens with old or non genuine ink. The print head has become blocked. You could try a Brother printer cleaning solution if they have one for your printer. Or you could try this guide I seen on Google search; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zbqlxxPk… After fixing replace the bad ink with some genuine Brother ink. Pricey but better than replacement.
