I am using my MAC with an external monitor until I get my faulty screen cables replaced but the cpu is running at 70% and the machine is slow. I know that it is the temperature probes. How to I switch off the thermal sensors. Update (04/05/2019) Really nice of you to reply… thank you.
I am fairly sure it is the display temperature sensor. I have ordered a new display cable. (I hope the new cable will be in shortly). But, at the moment I am using the iMac (my business computer) with an external monitor but it is very slow … If I could find a temp way of disabling the display temperature I’m certain that it would work until the cable arrives… Any solutions would be great … Thanks again.
You really can’t shut off SMC services. Right now your system is also not running the CPU at its default speed instead its running in Safe Mode to protect your system from over heating. How about posting some pics of the damage so we can see what you’re facing maybe we can figure something out Adding images to an existing question
