I was trying to to replace my ipod touch 4g screen because it was cracked. During the process of lifting the logic board one of the ribbon cable tore. Can someone please identify it and tell me if it can be fixed. Idk if it has anything to do with the screen because the screen also wouldn’t turn on. thank you. pic uploaded in link. http://i44.tinypic.com/2wc1t79.jpg

Thats the power/volume controls did your computer pick up your ipod when you plug it in?

If it’s not getting power, it probably won’t turn on. You can replace the cable iPod touch (4th Gen) Volume/Power Cable

Im having the same problem i to have just ripped the cable grrr

If the ribbon cable from the screen to the connector is pinched, you may get a white screen that cannot be fixed because the traces on the ribbon cable have been damaged.

yea I ripped my ribbon cable too I should’ve de-soldered it from the board before replacing the battery and screen. now i’ve gotta order a new ribbon cable for the vol/pwr, grrr…

OK my thing happened too. The topcable ripped… Somi justntore the rest of it off. If I buy Anne’s on how do I put it on that green plate thingy? It was like connected. Can companies make reapair for that? Also before that the screen was plain white. Turned on white.. Didn’t work but music still played on my I home… Also the procedure when I need to remove the bottom bottom top power button cord to volume button with scrape plate, I accidentally pulled and ripped that thin cord… Can anybody help me, is it possible I can get it repaired by a professional and ifi could what would be the price plx help thank you….
