Home button didn’t work after screen replacement, touch assist popped up spontaneously and then left (unsure of when, I didn’t have phone). Now, phone is stuck on ‘press home to upgrade’ but I’m without a home button. Just want the phone in working condition of course: I have tried: replacing home button Replacing screen and home button Switching with a new sim DFU mode factory reset
iPhone 7 home button is unique to the phone (tied to the CPU) if you cant fix the original home button check its not the screen with the original screen and original home button see if it works? Ive seen some new screens that kill the home button or at least stop it working with that screen. Also im sure if you restart the phone it pops you straight to the option without having to press the home button???
