Hey Guys,I have run into a situation with a customer’s iPad Air 3 that came in for a screen replacement. The first screen I ordered came with the digitizer broken, returned and had another shipped out same day. The new screen was perfect and worked fine.My issue is that when I migrated the home button over to the new screen and connected the small cable into the connector but when I went to push the lock down, it actually snapped off immediately. The connector doesn’t look damaged but the lock is broken off and cannot just put it back on.
Is there any way to get the home button recognized with the current connector? or should I just need to buy a new screen again? lol
As Chris has said before me you can reattach it with magnification I think you might get away with putting a thin piece of paper or plastic the same thinness and width on top of the cable to help force it down better I would recommend the first one though because the second option is really a last resort!
